Crafted from durable, breathable and lightweight 840 denier ballistic nylon, the Buster 70g Turnout Rug delivers exceptional strength and reliable protection in the field.

Featuring advanced fabric technology, the rug combines two specialist membranes with a Teflon-coated outer shell for enhanced stain resistance and moisture protection. Positioned beneath the outer fabric, the waterproof and breathable membrane boasts a 10,000mm waterproof rating and a breathability rating of 10,000g/m²/24h. Millions of precisely sized microscopic pores allow air to circulate freely while preventing water droplets from penetrating the fabric.

A second hydrophilic membrane, integrated deeper within the rug’s construction, actively draws moisture away from the horse’s coat and disperses it to help maintain a dry, comfortable environment. This innovative dual-membrane system enhances waterproof performance while safeguarding the 70g thermo-bonded fill, helping to preserve the rug’s durability and functionality over time.

Designed for an exceptional fit, the Buster 70g Turnout Rug is cut 2–4 inches in front of the wither, allowing the neckline to sit comfortably ahead of the shoulder. The latest design incorporates an extra-high, patented elasticated shoulder gusset, providing enhanced freedom of movement during turnout. Reflective strips at the front and rear improve visibility in low-light conditions, while strategically positioned chest clip closures, surcingle bars and hardware are manufactured from high-quality stainless steel for lasting reliability.

The rug’s signature deep-cut construction creates a seamless wraparound fit, secured by low-cross surcingles. This carefully engineered design eliminates pressure along the spine, promoting greater comfort and freedom of movement. With its proven self-righting design, the rug naturally returns to the correct position as the horse moves, helping to prevent slipping and ensuring a secure, comfortable fit in the field.

An extended tail flap combines waterproof protection with padded construction to provide additional coverage and help resist wind lift. The rug also includes a detachable classic neck cover, with liner attachments ready for added versatility, allowing you to adapt the lightweight design to suit your horse’s changing needs. An antibacterial and anti-static lining supports hygiene, enhances comfort and helps maintain a healthy coat.

The iconic Buster turnout range represents Premier Equine’s original, trusted and time-tested design. For added practicality, the rug comes complete with a clip-on, PVC-coated tail strap featuring an easy-clean finish to help maintain its condition and durability. The self-righting design means leg straps are not required, although a pair of adjustable clip-on leg straps is included for those who prefer additional security.
