Who are Samshield?
Samshield is a French equestrian brand founded in 2003 by Sam Maloigne, a former motocross rider and horseman. Its first riding helmet launched in 2006, and the brand is now known worldwide for helmets such as the 2.0 and XJ.
What safety standards do Samshield helmets meet?
Samshield says its helmets are certified to international safety standards including PAS 015, ASTM/SEI and EN standards, with testing carried out by an independent French laboratory. Check the label and product listing for the exact standards on each model, and your discipline's rulebook for competition requirements.
Do I need to replace my Samshield helmet after a fall?
Samshield advises having your helmet checked after every fall, because the inner shell doesn't return to its original shape after absorbing an impact. Its Restart service can replace the inner shell while keeping the outer shell, for up to five years after purchase. Contact us and we'll help you arrange it.
What sizes do Samshield competition jackets come in?
Ladies' jackets such as the Victorine come in UK sizes 6 to 14 (EU 34 to 42). If you're between sizes, call us and we'll help you choose.
Are Samshield competition jackets airbag compatible?
Yes. Jackets such as the Victorine Crystal Fabric are designed to be compatible with zip-in airbags. They are also breathable, stretchy, machine washable and offer UPF 50+ sun protection.
Do you stock Samshield breeches and saddle cloths?
Yes. We stock Samshield knee-grip breeches, such as the Adele and Clara, plus SpineShield saddle cloths and riding gloves.
Do you offer free delivery on Samshield?
Yes. Delivery is free on all UK mainland orders over £75. For smaller orders, or deliveries outside the UK mainland, the delivery cost is shown at checkout before you pay.
Can I return Samshield items if they don't fit?
