Crafted from durable 600D diamond triple-weave polyester, the Akoni 0g Original Turnout Rug is lightweight and breathable, making it ideal for providing protection from unexpected showers throughout spring, summer and autumn.

The robust outer features an advanced waterproof and breathable membrane, delivering a 10,000mm waterproof rating and a breathability rating of 10,000g/m²/24h. A Teflon-coated finish helps repel moisture and resist stains, while the integrated protective membrane provides an additional barrier against wet weather, helping to keep your horse comfortable.

Designed with careful attention to fit and freedom of movement, the rug features a neckline cut 2–4 inches in front of the wither, allowing it to sit comfortably ahead of the shoulder. With no filling, neck cover or neck cover attachments, it is an ideal lightweight turnout option for horses that prefer a more streamlined design. Integrated liner attachments also allow additional warmth to be added when needed, making the Akoni adaptable to changing conditions.

Reflective strips at the front and rear enhance visibility in low-light conditions, while the extra-high, patented elasticated shoulder gusset allows for an increased range of movement. Strategically positioned chest slip closures, surcingle bars and hardware are crafted from high-quality stainless steel for reliable, long-lasting performance.

The antibacterial and anti-static lining helps promote hygiene and comfort while supporting good coat health. A clip-on PVC-coated tail strap, featuring an easy-clean protective coating, provides practical functionality and helps maintain durability over time. The rug’s self-righting design eliminates the need for leg straps, although a pair of adjustable clip-on leg straps is included for those who prefer additional security.

Each Akoni 0g Original Turnout Rug is carefully hand-packaged in a complimentary, reusable, zip-fastened storage bag, offering convenient transport and a practical storage solution to help keep your tack room organised when the rug is not in use.
