Crafted from durable 600D diamond triple-weave polyester, the Akoni Stratus Turnout Rug is lightweight and breathable, making it ideal for protecting your horse from unexpected showers throughout spring, summer and autumn.

The robust outer features an advanced waterproof and breathable membrane, delivering a 10,000mm waterproof rating and a breathability rating of 10,000g/m²/24h. A Teflon-coated finish helps repel moisture and resist stains, while the integrated protective membrane provides an additional barrier against wet weather, helping to keep your horse comfortable.

Designed with careful attention to fit and freedom of movement, the rug features a neckline cut 2–4 inches in front of the wither, allowing it to sit comfortably ahead of the shoulder. Supplied with a detachable Classic neck cover, it offers added versatility and coverage when required. Integrated liner attachments also allow extra warmth to be added as the weather changes, making it easy to adapt the rug to your horse’s needs.

Reflective strips at the front and rear improve visibility in low-light conditions, while the extra-high, patented elasticated shoulder gussets allow for a greater range of movement and enhanced comfort. Strategically positioned chest clip closures, surcingle bars and hardware are crafted from high-quality stainless steel for dependable, long-lasting performance.

The antibacterial and anti-static lining helps maintain hygiene and comfort while supporting good coat health. A clip-on PVC-coated tail strap, finished with an easy-clean protective coating, provides practical functionality and helps preserve its durability over time. The rug’s self-righting design eliminates the need for leg straps, although a pair of adjustable clip-on leg straps is included for those who prefer additional security.

Each Akoni Stratus Turnout Rug is carefully hand-packaged in a complimentary, reusable, zip-fastened storage bag, offering convenient transport and practical storage to help keep your tack room organised when the rug is not in use.
