Our advanced fabric technology incorporates two specialised membranes alongside a Teflon-coated outer shell, providing enhanced stain resistance and protection against moisture. Positioned directly beneath the outer fabric, the breathable and waterproof membrane delivers a 10,000mm waterproof rating and a breathability rating of 10,000g/m²/24h. Millions of precision-sized microscopic pores allow heat and moisture vapour to escape while preventing water droplets from penetrating the fabric, helping to keep your horse dry and comfortable. 

A second hydrophilic membrane, located deeper within the rug’s construction, actively draws moisture away from the horse’s coat and disperses it throughout the fabric. This innovative dual-membrane system enhances waterproof performance while protecting the 250g thermo-bonded filling, helping to extend the rug’s lifespan and maintain its performance season after season. 

Designed with comfort and freedom of movement in mind, the Buster 250g Turnout Rug features a neckline cut 2–4 inches in front of the wither, allowing the rug to sit comfortably ahead of the shoulder. The design has evolved to incorporate an extra-high, patented elasticated shoulder gusset, providing enhanced flexibility and greater freedom of movement during turnout. Reflective strips positioned at the front and rear improve visibility in low-light conditions, while strategically placed chest-clip closures, surcingle bars and fittings are crafted from high-quality stainless steel for lasting durability and dependable functionality. 

The rug’s signature deep-cut design and seamless construction allow it to wrap securely around the horse, with low-cross surcingles helping to maintain a stable, comfortable fit. Carefully engineered to relieve pressure along the spine, this design prioritises comfort without compromising security. Its self-righting construction allows the rug to readjust naturally as the horse moves, helping to prevent slipping and maintain the correct position throughout turnout.
