Our advanced fabric technology combines two specialised membranes with a Teflon-coated outer shell, providing enhanced stain resistance and moisture protection. Beneath the outer fabric lies a breathable, waterproof membrane with an impressive 10,000mm waterproof rating and 10,000g/m²/24h breathability rating. Featuring millions of precisely sized microscopic pores, this innovative membrane allows heat and air to escape while effectively preventing water from penetrating the rug. 

A second hydrophilic membrane, positioned deeper within the fabric construction, works to draw moisture away from the horse’s coat and disperse it efficiently, helping to maintain a dry, comfortable environment. This dual-membrane system enhances overall waterproof performance while protecting the 400g thermo-bonded filling, helping to preserve the rug’s integrity and performance season after season. 

Every detail of the Buster 400g Turnout Rug has been carefully considered to maximise comfort and functionality. Cut 2–4 inches in front of the wither, the neckline sits comfortably ahead of the shoulder to encourage a natural fit. The design has evolved to incorporate an extra-high, patented elasticated shoulder gusset, allowing greater freedom of movement during turnout. Reflective strips at the front and rear improve visibility in low-light conditions, while strategically positioned chest clip closures, surcingle bars and fittings made from premium stainless steel ensure dependable, long-lasting performance. 

The innovative deep-cut design creates a seamless, close-fitting silhouette that wraps securely around the horse, supported by low-cross surcingles. By eliminating unnecessary seams and reducing pressure across the spine, this carefully engineered construction prioritises comfort and freedom of movement. The rug is also designed to self-right naturally, helping it remain correctly positioned as the horse moves freely in the field. 

Extended tail flaps incorporate waterproof and padded elements to provide additional protection from the elements while helping to resist wind lift. The patented Snug-Fit neck cover features an elasticated poll for a closer, more secure fit, helping to minimise wind chill and improve protection in challenging weather conditions. 

Compatible with liner attachments, the Buster 400g can be easily adapted to accommodate changing temperatures and your horse’s individual requirements.
