Crafted from durable, breathable 840 denier ballistic nylon, the Buster 40g Turnout Rug delivers exceptional durability and lightweight comfort, providing reliable protection for your horse in the field.

Featuring advanced fabric technology, the rug combines two specialised membranes with a Teflon-coated outer shell to help resist stains and repel moisture. Positioned beneath the outer fabric, the waterproof and breathable membrane offers a 10,000mm hydrostatic head rating and breathability of 10,000g/m²/24h. Millions of precisely engineered microscopic pores allow water vapour to escape while preventing external moisture from penetrating the fabric.

A second hydrophilic membrane, integrated deeper within the rug’s construction, draws moisture away from the horse’s coat and helps disperse it, promoting a dry and comfortable environment. This innovative dual-membrane system enhances waterproof performance while helping protect the 40g thermo-bonded filling, supporting the rug’s durability and long-term functionality.

Designed for an optimal fit, the Buster 40g Turnout Rug features a neckline cut 2–4 inches in front of the wither, allowing it to sit comfortably ahead of the shoulder. The design has evolved to incorporate an extra-high, patented elasticated shoulder gusset, encouraging greater freedom of movement during turnout. Reflective strips positioned at the front and rear improve visibility in low-light conditions, while strategically placed chest clip closures, surcingle bars and fittings are crafted from high-quality stainless steel for dependable, long-lasting performance.

The innovative deep-cut construction creates a seamless, wraparound fit, secured by low-cross surcingles. Designed with the horse’s comfort in mind, this construction eliminates pressure across the spine, allowing unrestricted movement. The rug’s self-righting design helps it return to the correct position as the horse moves, reducing slipping and providing a secure, comfortable fit throughout turnout.

Extended tail flaps incorporate waterproof and padded elements to provide additional coverage and protection while helping to resist wind lift. For added versatility, the rug features liner attachment points and includes a detachable classic neck cover, allowing you to adapt the rug to your horse’s changing requirements. The antibacterial and anti-static lining helps maintain a hygienic, comfortable environment while supporting good coat condition.

Representing Premier Equine’s original, trusted and time-tested design, the iconic Buster turnout rugs combine proven functionality with thoughtful innovation. Additional practical features include a clip-on PVC-coated tail strap with an easy-clean finish, designed to simplify maintenance and preserve durability over time.

The self-righting design means leg straps are not required; however, a pair of adjustable, clip-on leg straps is included for owners who prefer additional security.

Your Buster 40g Turnout Rug is carefully hand-packaged in a complimentary, reusable storage bag with a secure zip fastening. Perfect for keeping your tack room neat and organised, the bag also provides a convenient solution for carrying and storing your rug when not in use.
