Beneath the outer fabric sits a unique breathable and waterproof membrane, boasting a 10,000mm hydrostatic head rating and 10,000g/m²/24h breathability rating. Millions of precisely sized microscopic pores allow air to circulate efficiently while helping to draw moisture away from the horse’s coat and disperse it through the fabric, maintaining a dry and comfortable environment. This innovative dual-membrane construction provides an additional barrier against water penetration, helping to protect the substantial 420g thermo-bonded filling and preserve the rug’s performance and longevity. 

Designed with comfort and freedom of movement in mind, the Buster 420g features a carefully shaped neckline, cut 2–4 inches in front of the wither to allow the rug to sit comfortably ahead of the shoulder. The latest design incorporates an extra-high, patented elasticated shoulder gusset, offering enhanced flexibility and unrestricted movement in the field. Reflective strips positioned at the front and rear improve visibility in low-light conditions, while strategically placed chest clip closures, surcingle bars and premium stainless-steel hardware deliver dependable, long-lasting functionality. 

The rug’s signature deep-cut design creates a seamless, close-fitting silhouette that wraps securely around the horse, supported by low-cross surcingles. By eliminating seams across the back, the design helps minimise pressure along the spine, promoting greater comfort. An extended tail flap, incorporating waterproof and padded elements, provides additional coverage and protection while helping to resist wind lift.
