Expertly crafted from lightweight, breathable 840D ballistic nylon, the Buster Zero Original Turnout Rug offers exceptional durability and reliable protection for everyday use in the field. Its no-fill construction provides lightweight coverage, making it an ideal choice for horses that require protection without additional insulation.

Featuring advanced fabric technology, the rug combines two specialised membranes with a Teflon-coated outer fabric to enhance stain resistance and moisture protection. Positioned beneath the outer shell, the waterproof and breathable membrane delivers a 10,000mm waterproof rating and a breathability rating of 10,000g/m²/24h. Its precisely engineered microscopic pores allow air to circulate while helping to prevent water from penetrating the fabric.

A second hydrophilic membrane, located deeper within the rug’s construction, draws and disperses moisture away from the horse’s coat, helping to maintain a dry and comfortable environment. This innovative dual-membrane system enhances weather protection, supports breathability and contributes to the rug’s long-lasting performance.

Designed for comfort and freedom of movement, the Buster Zero Original features a neckline cut 2–4 inches in front of the wither, allowing it to sit comfortably ahead of the shoulder. An extra-high, patented elasticated shoulder gusset provides greater flexibility and freedom of movement in the field, while reflective strips at the front and rear improve visibility in low-light conditions. Strategically positioned chest clip closures, surcingle bars and hardware are crafted from high-quality stainless steel for dependable, long-lasting functionality.

The innovative deep-cut design creates a seamless finish that wraps closely around the horse, secured by low-cross surcingles for a stable, comfortable fit. Carefully engineered to minimise pressure along the spine, this design prioritises comfort while allowing unrestricted movement. The self-righting construction helps the rug return to its correct position as the horse moves, reducing slipping and the need for frequent readjustment.

Extended tail flaps incorporate waterproof and padded elements to provide additional coverage and help resist wind lift. With no neck cover or neck cover attachments, this lightweight turnout rug is ideal for horses that prefer a streamlined design without a neck cover. Integrated liner attachments allow additional warmth to be added when required, making the Buster Zero Original adaptable to changing weather conditions. The antibacterial and anti-static lining promotes hygiene and comfort while helping to maintain a healthy coat.

Part of Premier Equine’s iconic Buster collection, the Buster Zero Original builds on a trusted, time-tested design with innovative features for everyday equestrian use. Additional details include a clip-on PVC-coated tail strap with an easy-clean protective finish to help maintain its durability over time. The self-righting design means leg straps are not essential, although a pair of adjustable clip-on leg straps is included for those who prefer additional security.

Each Buster Zero Original Turnout Rug is carefully hand-packaged in a complimentary, reusable, zip-fastened storage bag, providing convenient transport and practical storage while helping to keep your tack room neat and organised.
