Set against the breath-taking backdrop of Badminton Park in Gloucestershire, the Badminton Horse Trials is one of the most prestigious three-day eventing competitions in the world. First held in 1949 at the invitation of the 10th Duke of Beaufort, it has grown into a global spectacle that attracts some of the finest horses and riders from across the world — all competing across a truly formidable cross-country course.

What to Expect at Badminton
If you've never been to Badminton before, here's a quick guide to what makes it so special:
Dressage (Thursday & Friday): The competition kicks off with dressage in the main arena. Watch world-class combinations perform their tests - the precision and partnership on show is genuinely awe-inspiring.
Cross Country (Saturday): The big day. Thousands of spectators line the course as horse and rider tackle a daunting route of solid, technical fences across the park. It's thrilling, nail-biting, and utterly unmissable. Get there early to bag a good spot at a fence.
Show Jumping (Sunday): The final phase sees the remaining combinations jump a course in the main arena. With the leaderboard so often tight going into Sunday, this can be dramatic stuff.
The Trade Village: Running throughout the event, the trade village is one of the finest in the country. Hundreds of stands covering everything from equestrian clothing and tack to food, gifts, art and more. We're proud to be part of it.

Horses in Sport Avenue: Worcester Way — Stand No. 113
Head to Worcester Way in the trade village and look for Stand 113 - our team will be there all four days, ready to help. If you pick up an event map on arrival, Worcester Way is clearly marked and easy to navigate to. If you're still not sure, just ask at the event information points and they'll point you in the right direction.
We'll be sharing stand photos and any last-minute news on our social channels in the week leading up to the event - so make sure you're following us and have your notifications turned on!
A Few Practical Tips for Your Day
Wear sensible footwear - the ground can be soft, especially around the cross-country course. Wellies or sturdy boots are always a good shout.
Book your parking and tickets in advance if you haven't already - Badminton gets busy, and it's much smoother when it's all sorted ahead of time.
Check the weather forecast and layer up. Even in May, it can be changeable - a waterproof is never a bad idea.
Give yourself plenty of time in the trade village - there is so much to see and it always takes longer than you expect (which is part of the fun).
